The Roger de la Zouche Chapel No. 68 – Installation Meeting, Wednesday 14th October
The Roger de la Zouche Chapel No. 68 convened at the Masonic Hall in Ashby on Wednesday 14th October for its annual Installation meeting.
The evening opened with the reception of the RW Grand Preceptor, Sir Andrew of Ghellinge, accompanied by an impressive retinue of Grand Officers and Provincial Grand Officers, whose presence added distinction and ceremony to the occasion.
It was a particular delight to welcome Sir Peter of Leicester back into the Chapel as a re‑joining member, a moment warmly received by all present.
The highlight of the meeting was the installation of Sir Raymond of Rothley as Worthy Master.
The ceremony was conducted by his predecessor, Sir David of Repton, whose skill, enthusiasm, and confident delivery were widely admired. Once installed, Sir Raymond proceeded to appoint and invest his officers for the year ahead, setting a positive tone for the forthcoming twelve months.
Following the formal proceedings, the assembled Knights made their way to the dining hall, where an excellent evening of fellowship and good humour rounded off the occasion in fine style.
